The role

At Busbud, an experienced and talented Offline Marketing Specialist (bilingual EN/FR) focused on offline marketing and PR - is needed to handle a wide range of marketing projects, from conceptual design to implementation. For each project, you'll be able to assemble a dream team of experts to maximize resources and efficiency by networking with carriers, universities, and internal staff. You will be the Swiss army knife of the marketing growth initiative across Canada. Although your main objective will be to tackle all the offline advertising initiatives, you will be working in close collaboration with the Canadian-focused marketing team to take on growth opportunities within Canada.

What you can expect from the opportunity

  • Responsible for offline campaign marketing to raise brand awareness and hit ROI goals.
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, organizations, and vendors.
  • Responsible for offline materials production and distribution of organization publications.
  • Responsible for offline event planning, execution and ROI monitoring
  • Responsible for all external communications campaigns, creative content & Brand development.
  • Organization of bus/train station takeovers and ad-media placement.
  • Create networks of student ambassadors on main campuses across the country.
  • Partner with carriers to promote their service through special pricing at universities.
  • Work with student unions to create student loyalty programs.
  • PR
  • Oversee marketing initiative projects throughout their full lifecycle to ensure that they are completed on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • In order to ensure the success of a project, it is important to create detailed project plans that incorporate the needs of the customer and the company's long-term goals.
  • Keep a close eye on the project's development and produce regular reports outlining the specific milestones and deliverables reached.
  • Motivate, identify issues, develop solutions, and implement efficiency gains, be in constant contact with all parties involved.
  • Provide actionable advice based on cost-benefit and return-on-investment guidelines for project plans.
  • Project plans should be reviewed for any adjustments, including meeting with stakeholders and approving and implementing them.
  • Involve customers, team members, managers, and in-house accountants in discussions about and negotiations with suppliers about the acquisition of resources and supplies as needed prior to and throughout projects.
  • By keeping up to date with current trends and industry news, anticipate the specifics of future projects.
How you can impress us
  • 3-5 years combined experience as a marketing specialist, focused on: leading projects, advertising, offline marketing, event planning and business development/partnership building
  • A degree in Communications, Business, Public Relations, Marketing or another related field is considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to network and establish productive business relationships cross-functionally, inside, across and outside of the organization.
  • Proven expertise in cultivating partnerships and networking
  • We're Global! Bilingual French and English is a must
  • Industry experience is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to execute offline marketing initiatives across Canada
  • Occasional travel required within Canada
  • A self-motivated leader that can take action and execute actionable marketing initiatives
