Temporary, Full-Time
Starting date: August 11, 2025
Do you love making things happen? Thrive on organization, creativity, and the thrill of a perfectly executed event? If you're a natural multitasker with a passion for bringing people together -- we want you on our team!
Join a high-energy Events Team where no two days are the same, and your work directly creates memorable experiences for our vibrant school community.
Your Role:
As our Event Planning Assistant, you'll be the behind-the-scenes hero supporting the Events Managers to plan, organize, and execute an exciting variety of internal and community events. From student celebrations to staff parties, theatre nights to award ceremonies -- you'll be involved in it all!
What You'll Do:
Collaborate on unforgettable events that inspire and engage
Use Google Suite to create event plans and detailed Function Sheets
Assist with internal and external events -- mornings, evenings, and weekends
Help bring recurring events to life: graduations, BBQs, board meetings, open houses, and more
Coordinate resources, vendors, supplies, and event logistics
Keep our inventory system running smoothly and support everything from linens to vouchers
Be a go-to helper for parent volunteers and vendor hires (DJs, servers, etc.)
Make crucial Costco runs, pick up fresh flowers, and handle the behind-the-scenes details that make magic happen
What You Bring:
1-2 years of experience in events, hospitality, or admin support (bonus if you've done it all!)
A creative spark and an eye for detail
Organizational wizardry and time management superpowers
Strong interpersonal skills and team-first mindset
Comfort working evenings, weekends, and unconventional hours
Google Suite savvy (experience with Eventbrite, Canva, or Perfect Table is a huge plus!)
Willing to get Serving-It-Right & Food Safe Level 1 if you don't have them already
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (because balloon arches and beverage tubs aren't light!)
Your own transportation -- because sometimes the magic happens offsite
Why Join Us?
You'll be part of a collaborative, fun, and fast-paced environment where your creativity and attention to detail will shine. Every event you help bring to life will make a real impact on our community. Plus, you'll never be bored -- we promise.
