Evaluation and Impact Specialist, SCPORThe Saskatchewan Centre for Patient-Oriented Research (SCPOR) vision is working together for a healthier Saskatchewan through patient-oriented research (POR). POR brings patients and those around them (family, friends, and community) together as partners in research, along with health professionals, administrators and researchers; Patient Partners bring their expertise gained from life experience to this research. SCPOR is comprised of partners that include patients, academic institutions, government agencies and health organizations. SCPOR's partners include Saskatchewan Health Authority, eHealth Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Health Quality Council, Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation, University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency and First Nations University of Canada, in collaboration with the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, Mxc3xa9tis Nation Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Ministry of Health and Saskatchewan Ministry of Advanced Education. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with all current and potential future provincial partners is essential to fulfilling SCPOR's mandate.Together, SCPOR's partners focus on the advancement of Learning Health Systems (LHS), which incorporate learnings from health-related information to achieve system improvement and support SCPOR's desired outcomes of improved patient and provider care experiences, population health and lower health system costs. SCPOR's commitment to including patient voices and experiences along with health system leaders and experts in POR will allow SCPOR to reach its goals of improving the health of people in Saskatchewan and increasing the value of health services.Primary Purpose: The Evaluation and Impact Specialist is responsible for leading the planning, design and implementation of evaluation, assessment and performance monitoring for SCPOR.Nature of Work: Reporting to SCPOR's Director of Innovation and Impact, the Evaluation and Impact Specialist will work with SCPOR staff and partner staff to support the work of each organization while upholding SCPOR's vision, mission and core values.The Evaluation and Impact Specialist will have a strong background in program evaluation and work with SCPOR leadership to ensure the evaluation and impact needs of the unit are met. They will participate on committees and working groups and attend planning meetings, as appropriate.This position is based in Saskatoon. Some travel within the province may be required to work with SCPOR Partners and Project Teams.Typical Duties or Accountabilities: This role has responsibility for the development and implementation of SCPOR's performance measurement, evaluation, and impact assessment in support of its strategic plan and includes the following:
