INSTRUCTOR
An after-school learning centre in Oakville, seeks experienced English Instructor.
The instructor will tutor students from ages 3 to 16. All teaching materials will be provided. The instructor will work with students on an individual or small group setting. Must be flexible with changes in setting and time. This is a part-time, year-round position.
Requirements
College student or above with major in English
Proficient knowledge in English (Reading and Writing),Completely fluent and excellent knowledge in grammar, reading comprehension and writing skills required,all candidates will be tested in English (up to G12) prior to the interview.
Ability to multi-task with good work ethics
Patience, enthusiasm, willingness to work with childreno
Hours can be discussed at the interview
Prior tutoring experience a plus
OCT Certification or Pursuing OCT Certification a plus
Satisfactory police check (before joining)
General Responsibilities
Report to the Centre Director
Provide appropriate academic coaching to students according to the Centre policies
Motivate and encourage students (incentives, certificates, etc.)
Discuss students' progress with Centre Director after every session or end of business day
Provide written feedback to students
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
