Aplin has partnered with a leading not-for-profit in Nova Scotia to hire an Engineering Manager - Shared Services for a remote opportunity. In this role, you will lead and evolve the organization\'s centralized engineering shared services.Benefits and Perks:

Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering services to departments and business units.
  • Address customers\' technical questions.
  • Oversee technologies, providing support to the evaluation team, and to other departments and business units.
  • Be accountable for energy/demand-savings calculations critical to the organization\'s reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering and eligibility to practice as a Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant engineering experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in utilities, demand-side management, and/or customer relationship management platforms.
  • Proven experience in building and leading high-performing technical teams.
  • Experience developing business requirements for data tracking systems.
  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency and demand response measures.
  • Detailed understanding of existing practices and emerging best practices in building codes and product standards related to energy efficiency.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency technologies and best practices in areas such as integrated demand-side management, integrated resource planning, utility avoided costs, rate & bill impacts, cost-effectiveness testing, distributed energy resources, demand response, demand reduction, and beneficial electrification.
  • Knowledge of the Nova Scotia regulatory environment.
  • Direct experience working with the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board on demand-side management initiatives or with the Provincial government on energy efficiency programs.
  • Experience in demand-side management program design, administration, and evaluation is a significant asset.
