Mancor Industries is a world class precision manufacturer of metal components and sub-assemblies that uses state of the art machining and fabrication techniques to produce high value add, cost effective products for our strategic partners in the North American Truck and Heavy Duty equipment industries. Overview: The Engineering Manager will be responsible to support the development of the Strategic Plan specifically by developing and implementing the Engineering Plan. Provide Engineering Systems oversight to the Plant ensuring optimal leadership of resources, optimal training and development opportunities across the Plant and benchmarking best practices locally, corporately and in the Industry. The position will be responsible to achieve targets in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity (S,Q,D,P) as well as leading activities to drive continuous improvement in the Key Operations Indicators (KOI\xe2\x80\x99s) in an environment characterized by high growth and increasing customer expectations. Ideal Competencies: The preferred candidate must have in-depth operating experience in either the automotive or industrial parts manufacturing business, be operations focused, and will understand and appreciate what it takes to be successful in the industry. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded Engineering Leader with an operations leadership background. Further, the Engineering Manager must have experience managing engineering systems in a low-volume, high complexity parts manufacturing environment to ensure that an effective engineering system (policies, standards, and programs) is in place to ensure on-time delivery of product to our OEM\xe2\x80\x99s. Coordination and execution of initiatives and large projects in a safe and cost-effective manner. Thorough knowledge of Punch Press, Brake Press, Laser cutting, Welding and Paint equipment is preferred. - Engineering Excellence: the Engineering Manager will leverage past experience with best practices in automotive parts manufacturing. He/she will have strong project management skills, setting objectives and holding people accountable for meeting them, coaching/teaching to support implementation plans, and leading/driving the effective implementation. - Leadership Skills: the Engineering Manager must have demonstrated superior leadership skills establishing a culture of trust internally and externally while ensuring a workforce aligned to Plant goals. He/she would be a leader who will attract and motivate excellent people, will have the ability to retain and develop high caliber talent to build a strong Engineering team. The successful candidate should have a collaborative style and be comfortable problem solving with peers in an entrepreneurial environment. Education and Experience: - A minimum of 5-10 yrs experience in a like manufacturing environment in Maintenance, Engineering or Production. - Must possess a keen understanding of automotive and/or industrial parts manufacturing. Must be able to manage a low volume, high complexity product environment. - Must have a solid understanding of the specific process competencies and overall process complexity to build immediate credibility with employees, peers, customers, and suppliers. - Must demonstrate strong analytical skills with well-developed communication skills to lead continuous improvement in a multi-process manufacturing environment. - Strong leadership with a focus on developing process and structure to drive operational engineering improvement. - Excellent mentoring and communication skills while driving a sense of urgency. - Fluent in the application of tools (APQP, Standardized Work, TPM) and Lean methodologies in a TPS environment. - Solid background in administrating contracts for the provision of supplies and the services of outside engineering contractors. - Planning and managing the facility\xe2\x80\x99s engineering budget - Ensuring equipment, fixturing, and tooling are meeting recognized industry and Mancor safety standards. - Knowledge and experience with metal fabrication, preferably laser cutting, stamping, forming, welding, machining, and paint operations. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year Benefits:
