Job Description
Nile Academy is seeking a Gr 4 Elementary Home Room Teacher for the 2025-2026 educational year starting on Dec 01. The candidate for this full-time position will join an exceptional and talented faculty and will work with students who are bright, motivated, and engaging.
Qualifications
A qualified candidate should have a
Bachelor's degree
in elementary education (advanced study and/or Master's degree is preferred) and at least two years of upper elementary classroom teaching experience. Creativity, passion for learning, and a positive attitude are desired as well as the ability to maintain a structured learning environment within a student-centered classroom. Because the opening will be for a grade 4 teaching position, the ideal candidate will have experience at this grade level or those immediately adjacent. Familiarity with the Reading and Writing Workshop models of instruction is also desired.Additionally, the candidate must have strong collaborative skills and be able to work closely with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional planning. The candidate will be expected to regularly participate in professional development and program improvement, be available to support students and parents before and after school, and may be assigned other duties by the Head of School.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
