Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Our Head office is in Dieppe, New Brunswick and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Boston.Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Industrial Electrician will be a self- starter with a \xe2\x80\x9cCan Do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude and the ability to adapt in a fast paced, dynamic, continuous 4 x 4, 12-hour shift schedule work environment.Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• \xc2\xb7 Must possess Industrial Red Seal/ Block Electrician Certificate.
• \xc2\xb7 2-5 years of experience in the electrical field
• \xc2\xb7 Experience in instrumentation and/or electronics would be considered an asset;
• \xc2\xb7 Familiarity with CMMS would be considered an asset.
• \xc2\xb7 Previous PLC experience, including installation and troubleshooting preferred
• \xc2\xb7 Ability to work all rotation shifts, weekends and overtime as required
• \xc2\xb7 Willing and able to work in various work environments i.e. heat, cold, wet, etc.
• \xc2\xb7 Ability to work with a minimum supervision
• \xc2\xb7 Ability to change electric motors and switches as required Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• \xc2\xb7 Promote and maintain a safe work environment
• \xc2\xb7 Follow all safety and food safety policies and procedures;
• \xc2\xb7 Analyze, inspect, repair, troubleshoot, advise and maintain electrical systems throughout Cavendish Farms facility including all production and facility equipment;
• \xc2\xb7 Day to day maintenance of equipment;
• \xc2\xb7 Trouble shooting, preventive and predictive maintenance;
• \xc2\xb7 Involvement in projects and new equipment installations;
• \xc2\xb7 Participation in or conducting training on familiarity with equipment.
• \xc2\xb7 Be willing and able to learn all aspects of the business inside of all departments;
• \xc2\xb7 Communicate with production personnel and technical staff within maintenance and suppliers;
• \xc2\xb7 Installations of other electrical/electronic-related functions
