POSITION OVERVIEW

This position provides support to the Pembroke facility, ensuring that it is safe and fully operable at all times. The role expectations vary based on day to day requirements; as such, flexibility, teamwork, extensive job knowledge and logical thinking are essential.

Plant Support:

\xc2\xb7Maintaining a safe and fully operable facility

\xc2\xb7Supporting manufacturing efficiency levels

\xc2\xb7Responding to equipment malfunctions from an electrical and non-electrical perspective

\xc2\xb7Dealing with vendors when outsourcing is required to respond to equipment issues

\xc2\xb7Routine and preventive maintenance on all plant facility, including equipment and grounds

\xc2\xb7Work order fulfillment

Safety Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

\xc2\xb7Graduate of an accredited post-secondary institution

EXPERIENCE

\xc2\xb7Experience in a steel manufacturing setting preferred

\xc2\xb7Experience in dealing with confidential information required

\xc2\xb7Experience with lasers, turret punches, hydraulic brakes/punches, robotics and PLC programming/controls preferred

\xc2\xb7Working at heights, WHIMS, forklift training, overhead crane training, HVAC, natural gas experience preferred.
