Electrical Project Engineer

TWD is currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in Alberta you will be working at site and remote for this opportunity!

Job Responsibilities:

• Generating Electrical type construction work packages and specifications
• Demonstrating strong fundamental knowledge of Instrumentation & Controls Engineering codes and standards
• Coordinating details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines
• Preparing and /or supervising engineering reports, studies, calculations and checks drawings as required
• Project scoping at client sites
• Ensure all engineered solutions can be implemented safely and will perform in a safe manner
• Support business development as part of the seller doer program
• Scheduling and cross tracking of multi-discipline engineering and construction projects
• Working with internal groups (such as Operations, Inspection, Engineering, HSE, etc.) on front-end project definition
• Coordinate with internal/external eng resources, procurement, contractors and site resources to ensure successful completion of projects
• Monitor, manage and control projects to ensure that they are delivered on time, on budget and aligned with clients\' requirements
• Forecast, monitor and manage potential risks that can negatively impact the successful completion of projects
• Ensure overall engineering project compliance with applicable Codes, standards and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in or diploma in electrical, instrumentation and controls engineering or design.
• Registered professional engineering in Alberta (APEGA).
• 5-10 years project engineering experience in industrial facilities projects with multi-discipline exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives/projects simultaneously, and effectively communicate goals, objectives and accomplishments to all levels of the organization
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve cost effective and timely results
• Experience creating mechanical scopes of work and construction work packages including detailed drawings and specs.
• Shows initiative and drives cost effective and timely results.
• Effective communication skills, and has the ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset, preferably in an EPCM or Owner/Operator environment.
• Experience creating I&C scopes of work and construction work packages including detailed drawings and specs.
• Experience with the application of the Canadian Electrical Code, API, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
