WHAT\'S THE JOB?

As an Electrical Designer, reporting to the Manager, Electrical Design, you will be responsible for the development, interpretation of engineering designs, drawings and specifications of electrical systems for modular building layouts to be used in manufacturing processes. You will be accountable for ensuring that design complies with applicable electrical codes, NRB Standards and client design data.

Your work will include:

• Develop and prepare Revit designs and project specifications;
• Develop and create Production/Shop drawings and specifications;
• Provide technical assistance and input on new proposals and contracts;
• Prepare proposal specifications and presentation documents in accordance with client and/or project requirements;
• Create and check design information with consideration for accuracy, completeness and adherence to client specifications; ensuring compliance with applicable federal, provincial and local regulations & NRB standards;
• Collaborate with Architectural, Mechanical and consulting Engineering partners to complete designs and resolve challenges; ensuring of delivery within the schedule.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing facilities and field personnel;
• Work with purchasing and vendors to source, review and specify equipment;

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• University degree or Building Technology Diploma from an accredited institution, specializing in Electrical studies or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 2+ years experience relating the electrical design for commercial, industrial, hospitality & residential buildings.
• Ability to read, edit and create building specifications and detailed construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Autodesk ACC software experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
• Additionally, efficient use of AutoCAD, & Bluebeam are required.
• Experience with modular/factory-built construction and BOM (Bill of Materials) is an asset.
