OVERVIEW:





MacEwen Petroleum is a rapidly growing, diversified company focused on long-term success. We are actively searching for several experienced, hard-working employees with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the positions of DZ Truck Driver in our Kemptville division. These full-time seasonal positions are from September 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, with the potential to extend and will be based on a 3-4 days per week schedule which may include occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call as required.


WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:




$30.35 per hour to start. Fully paid training. Paid overtime after 44 hours. Quarterly safety and yearly performance bonuses. No charge for uniforms including winter jackets and rain suits. Vacation Pay: Entitled to 6% of total wages paid bi-weekly. Opportunities to learn & grow and be paid more as you increase your skills and responsibilities.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:




Tank and Equipment Installation:




Deliver install and set-up customer tanks, pumps, etc. (as required). Ensure all installations meet applicable codes.

Tank and Equipment Maintenance:




Identify, document, and report any equipment deficiencies. Repair loaned equipment, diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions and produce timely and detailed service reports. Maintain records of customer loaned equipment and ensure that office is updated about it accurately & timely. Promptly respond to service calls.

Fuel Delivery Responsibilities:




Ensure safe and timely delivery of petroleum products and propane to residential and commercial customers. Ensure the safe loading of propane onto the delivery truck. Perform day shifts during the workweek and occasionally on weekends as part of the compensated on-call schedule. Perform mandatory circle checks, and maintain the truck, cab, uniform and work location clean. Share all pertinent information with dispatch including improvement suggestions for safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Ensure accurate record keeping including product delivery, maintenance of logbooks, delivery reports, fuel tickets, and transportation of dangerous goods reports. Assist in the delivery and set up customer skid tanks when required. Adhere to all legal and company regulations affecting the operation of motor vehicles. Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of the truck, cab, and work location. Assist with the delivery of lubricants and other products and equipment, when required. Perform other duties as required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:




Education and Experience Required:




Valid DZ certification is required. Minimum of (3) years post-certification driving required. Experience driving liquid bulk is desirable. Fuel haulage and/or delivery experience is highly desirable. PM3, PM4, or PMH licenses are considered an asset. Forklift and Boom Truck experience is an asset. Mechanical inclination is required. Must possess a clean 'abstract' and acceptable CVOR.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:




Excellent customer service skills. Positive and humble attitude. Demonstrates a safety-first approach to the role. Must always present a professional image. A willingness to participate in training is essential.

Other:




Local geographical knowledge is required. Must always conform to the requirements of Ministry of Transportation regulations. Ability to work autonomously and responsibly within a small and cohesive team. Ability and willingness to work in all-weather situations. Ability to lift to 100 pounds; position requires frequent bending and moving heavy loads. Ability to work evenings and weekends, on occasion. Out-of-town travel may be required. Willingness to be cross-trained in delivering multiple products, equipment, etc.
