Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our team. Drywall finishers use tape, joint compound (sometimes known as "mud"), and other compounds to hide screw holes, seams, and other flaws on drywall surfaces before painting or wallpapering them. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall installations, ensuring a smooth and professional appearance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in various finishing techniques, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Prepare drywall surfaces by cleaning and smoothing out imperfections. Apply joint compound (sometimes known as "mud"), tape, and other materials to hide seams, screw holes, and other flaws gets drywall surfaces ready for painting or wallpapering. Sand finished surfaces to achieve a smooth texture. Install corner beads and tape seams to ensure durability. Inspect finished work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments. Collaborate with other construction professionals to meet project timelines. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Experience

Proven experience as a Drywall Finisher or similar role is preferred. Familiarity with various drywall finishing techniques and materials. Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications. Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction work is advantageous.
