Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall installation and finishing, with the ability to read blueprints and execute projects with precision. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring that all drywall surfaces are finished to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drywall surfaces for finishing by cleaning and smoothing as needed.
• Apply joint compound and tape to seams, corners, and fasteners to create a smooth surface.
• Sand finished surfaces to achieve a flawless finish ready for painting or other treatments.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and painters, to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Perform caulking around edges and joints as necessary for a polished appearance.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Assist in other maintenance person tasks as required during the construction process.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Drywall Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading is essential for understanding project layouts.
• Familiarity with various drywall techniques and materials is preferred.
• Experience in construction painting is a plus, enhancing overall project quality.
• Background as a carpenter or maintenance person is advantageous, providing versatility on the job site.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
