offers tailored, affordable, one-on-one music lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. Students can learn various instruments including piano, voice, guitar, violin, cello, drums, clarinet, flute, and saxophone.

Xavier's School of Music is now hiring a drum teacher based in Scarborough! We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate musicians who want to teach!

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching in-person/online private lessons to students of all ages Lessons can be at the student's or teacher's home
Planning lessons in relation to each student's unique goals and interests
*Teachers will be paid more for lessons taught at the student's home.

Requirements:

This job is very location dependent, as many of our students are in North York and Scarborough. Teachers located within 10km from Fairview Mall would be preferred, but not required.*
A high level of musical competence and proficiency. Must be extremely familiar with the RCM Piano and theory syllabus. Bachelor of Music degree (preferred but not required). Reliable, patient, and willing to work with students of all ages and skill levels. Able to teach technique and repertoire in a fun, engaging manner and customize the curriculum for each student, based on their skill level, learning style, and musical interests. Must have successfully completed a Criminal background check within the past year (or willing to complete one if you are hired). Must possess excellent communication skills, as you will need to regularly communicate with students, parents, and admin. Access to a reliable vehicle or the ability to easily get to and from lessons.

Job Type: Part-time

Contract length: 12 months (subject to renewal based on the teacher's performance and availability)

Salary: $25.00-$40.00 per hour*

*Based on your years of teaching experience and your willingness to commute to students' homes to teach.
