Overview

At Verellen Music Academy, we believe that learning music should be exciting, creative, and fun! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Drum Teacher to join our team of expert instructors. The ideal candidate will be a

skilled drummer

with a love for teaching, especially in

rock and pop-rock genres.

The ability to play another instrument, ideally guitar, is a strong asset.

We're looking for someone who not only brings musical expertise, but also enthusiasm and a genuine desire to help students discover their talent and grow. At VMA, our teachers foster a positive and engaging environment where students of all ages feel encouraged, supported, and inspired to love music for life.

Duties

Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans tailored to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Confidently play, demonstrate, and teach rock and pop-rock drumming techniques. Teach both private lessons and small group classes. Commit to being part of our teaching team for the long term (we are not seeking short-term applicants). (Ideally) Teach beginner to intermediate guitar, or other additional instruments. Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents/guardians. Foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence in students through music. Collaborate with fellow teachers and contribute to our vibrant learning community. Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional learning space.

Experience

Proven teaching or tutoring experience in music (studio, classroom, or private). Strong background in drumming and music education. Experience working with children and students of various ages. Creative approach to lesson planning and engaging students. Familiarity with other instruments and diverse teaching methods is an advantage. Above all, a passion for music and the ability to inspire students through fun, engaging lessons.
