Job Description


The new role is responsible for managing the overall sourcing strategy balancing

business needs and risks within an approved sourcing management framework.

Duties will include creating and implementing the processes and policies required for contracts

and procurement. This involves preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and administering

contracts and purchase orders in collaboration with key staff within business operations,

finance and revenue operations. The incumbent manages internal and external company

relationships and contracts from the RFP process to supplier obligations and risks,

maintaining a view on supplier industry strategy with the purpose of achieving good

business outcomes for the client.

Responsibilities:

\xe2\x97\x8f Provide guidance in negotiations with respect to risk and ensuring related

governance processes/policies are adhered to and completed prior to final

approval.

\xe2\x97\x8f Reviews cost proposals and pricing information.

\xe2\x97\x8f Prepares and administers contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors.

\xe2\x97\x8f Evaluates vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met.

\xe2\x97\x8f Confirms that terms and delivery dates are accurate.

\xe2\x97\x8f Evaluates competence of vendors and reviews their invoices for accuracy.

\xe2\x97\x8f Maintains database regarding vendors performance and quality of services(s) or

product(s).

\xe2\x97\x8f Supports the process for negotiating and drafting contract terms and conditions.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ensuring compliance with all related laws and regulations.

\xe2\x97\x8f Managing daily, monthly and quarterly reports.

\xe2\x97\x8f Developing and maintaining vendor relationships.

Requirement:

\xe2\x97\x8f Post secondary education in Business, Commerce or a related field of study.

\xe2\x97\x8f Minimum 5 years of sourcing, procurement, and contract management

experience in a professional services type environment.

\xe2\x97\x8f Exceptional communication skills (oral and written), strong persuasion skills and

ability to gain consensus with various internal and external parties.

\xe2\x97\x8f Demonstrated ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment; highly

adaptable and able to work independently within a team environment.

\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent attention to detail and ability to review and understand legal terms,

business terms and complex documentation.

Contracts Specialist

\xe2\x97\x8f Experienced change agent with a successful record in implementing continuous

improvement initiatives.

\xe2\x97\x8f Strong service, influence, and negotiation skills.

\xe2\x97\x8f Strong planning, prioritization, organization, problem solving, analytical and

decision-making skills.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to proactively anticipate matters and can manage multiple tasks

effectively.
