Position Overview Welcome PEI is a division of Dunne Group. Welcome PEI and Dunne Group have been in business for more than 20 years. Working as part of a team, the Welcome PEI Distribution Manager is responsible to ensure that the Welcome PEI printed tourism information publications (guidebooks and maps) are well displayed, visible and easily accessible for tourists, at key PEI locations during the peak tourism season. Over the years, Welcome PEI has secured distribution displays at major PEI entry points, hotels, and popular visitor sites. These include but are not limited to Charlottetown Airport, Northumberland Ferries Ltd, major grocery stores and Tourism PEI Visitor Information Centres located across the province. The ideal candidate for this job is mature, self-motivated, friendly, likes people, has above average communication skills, and pays attention to detail. This person likes driving, meeting people, being safety-oriented and being organized. A standard 7-passenger van converted for deliveries will be supplied to the distribution manager. The Welcome PEI distribution manager will understand and be able to explain the purpose of each of the Welcome PEI print products being distributed. This information will be supplied to him or her by the operations manager. This is a full-time, seasonal position from mid-May to August. Part-time is required for early May and September. Responsibilities Distribution:

• Pick up publications from central warehouse, maintain a clean warehouse with used boxes properly disposed of regularly.
• Plan and execute a weekly route to ensure distribution locations are visited and re-stocked with publications according to visitor traffic flow.
• Identify new potential distribution sites as they become available.

Product Tracking:

• Maintain list of products distributed by location.
• Prepare monthly reports of products distributed.
• Conduct inspections of products on display and of distribution racks, to ensure that brand, decals, and images are all in top condition and working order.
• Monitor product inventory in warehouse to ensure that weekly, monthly and seasonal inventory goals are being met.

Customer Relations:

• Be the positive face of Welcome PEI to distribution site staff, as well as PEI locals and visitors.
• When required - educate employees at distribution locations on the purpose of each Welcome PEI Product.
• Ensure appropriate quantity products is left at each business.
• Report issues to supervisor.

Requirements

• Class 5 Driver?s License and clean driving record. Vehicle will be supplied.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communications skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Compensation to be negotiated.

Duration

• Seasonal, Full-time; with some part-time at beginning and end of season
• Yearly mid-May to August (full-time); early May & September (part-time)

Qualifications Experience:

• Previous working experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work with the public.

Education:

• Minimum of High School diploma
• Post-secondary preferred
• Class 5 Driver?s License and clean driving record
• Language (English required)

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Location is Charlottetown with travel throughout PEI is required; vehicle is supplied.
• Driving for extended periods, tight timelines, attention to detail.
• Combination of driving, standing, walking and lifting boxes up to 20 lbs.
