Transdev is now hiring a Dispatcher & Office Administrator for our Yellowknife, NWT location!





As the Dispatcher & Customer Service Coordinator, you will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring exceptional service delivery. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, drivers, and partners, balancing real-time coordination, administrative accuracy, and responsive communication.




Your Role:




Answer incoming calls and provide clear, accurate information to customers regarding schedules, routes, and services. Dispatch YATS drivers and vehicles efficiently to meet service demands while maintaining on-time performance. Monitor real-time vehicle locations and communicate with drivers to address operational changes or challenges. Coordinate with schools, school boards, and clients to ensure seamless service delivery and timely updates. Support day-to-day administrative activities, maintaining accurate records of communications, trips, and dispatch operations. Provide coaching and guidance to drivers to promote service excellence and adherence to safety and company standards. Prepare operational and performance reports to support management and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with team members to enhance dispatch systems, optimize routing, and improve overall service efficiency. Follow all Transdev standards, policies, and procedures, while upholding a culture of safety, professionalism, and respect. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the operation.

Your Profile:




Minimum 2-3 years of experience in administrative support or dispatch operations, ideally within transportation, logistics, or customer service environments. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and a customer-focused approach. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new software and dispatch systems. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation, data entry, and record keeping. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure. Familiarity with Yellowknife's geography and local transportation routes is considered an asset. Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Your location:





This is a full-time, non-union, on-site position based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The schedule consists of 8-hour daytime shifts, Monday to Friday, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
