Join our dynamic team as a Dispatcher - Customer Service, where you will be the heartbeat of our logistics operations! In this pivotal role, you will coordinate transportation activities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of freight while providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks will be key in creating a seamless experience for our clients and partners.

What you'll do

Manage incoming and outgoing freight requests, ensuring all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to optimize routing and delivery schedules. Communicate with drivers, customers, and vendors to provide updates on shipment status and address any inquiries or issues. Input data into Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and maintain accurate records of all transactions. Analyze transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement in logistics and supply chain processes. Collaborate with team members to develop effective transportation planning strategies that enhance service delivery. Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, ensuring excellent phone etiquette at all times. Support shipping and receiving operations while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Basic qualifications

Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.

Preferred qualifications

Experience in dispatching or logistics management. Familiarity with Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, or AS400 systems. Knowledge of fleet management principles and practices. Understanding of third-party logistics (3PL) operations.
