cross-border and Western Canada freight operations
. This role involves coordinating daily truck movements, communicating with drivers, and providing real-time updates to customers to ensure smooth and efficient load execution. The candidate must have a solid understanding of transportation procedures, load planning, and cross-border documentation.
What you'll do
Plan, schedule, and dispatch
trucks for Western Canada and U.S. lanes
.
Communicate constantly with
drivers, shippers, and customers
to manage pickups and deliveries.
Monitor load status through
Transportation Management System (TMS)
and update shipment progress.
Prepare and review
cross-border paperwork
(ACE, PARS, customs documents).
Handle customer calls and emails related to load status, issues, and service requests.
Resolve on-road challenges such as breakdowns, delays, or missed appointments by coordinating alternate solutions.
Maintain accurate data entry for orders, routes, and communication logs.
Collaborate with internal operations and fleet teams to optimize routes and utilization.
Qualifications
Minimum
2 years of dispatching or transportation customer service experience
(cross-border preferred).
Knowledge of
Western Canada and U.S. freight lanes
.
Experience using
TMS, LoadLink, or other dispatch software
.
Strong multitasking and decision-making skills under time-sensitive conditions.
Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
Must be able to
work on-site in Mississauga
.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
