About the role

As Director, Talent Acquisition Strategy & Operations in our Talent Acquisition team, you will bring our purpose to life everyday. How? By leading with innovation and creating a thoughtful, well articulated, talent acquisition strategy for hiring the best candidates to Intact. You will operationalize the talent strategy that will bring great ideas to life and deliver excellence. You will strengthen the TA team to achieve Intact's hiring goals through a combination of strategic and operational projects and initiatives including employer brand, recruitment marketing, and talent attraction events.

Reporting to the Vice President, Talent Acquisition, our team will rely on you to lead and oversee Intact's talent acquisition systems/technology, processes, Recruitment strategy, and Employer brand streams on a national level. You will bring market intel, best practices, research, and data that build strategic plans and operationalize our centralized recruitment function.

You will oversee a team of professionals that are dedicated system experts, project leads, recruitment marketing creatives, and employer brand experts that support the broader national recruitment teams. You will collaborate with the TA leadership team to develop strategies that shape the future of recruiting at Intact. You will execute our talent strategy roadmap by ensuring that our recruitment processes, tools, systems, marketing channels, and branding strategies make this a best-in-class TA team and position Intact as a leading employer of choice within a competitive industry.

What you'll do here:

  • Partner with the leadership team to develop strategy and vision for overall operations in Talent Acquisition
  • Leverage data and research to recommend improvements to processes, workflows, tools, system integration, optimization, and user adoption
  • Manage, coach, and develop team of direct reports and promote employee engagement
  • Establish, communicate, and measure performance objectives for the TA team
  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders, vendors, suppliers, partners, marketing, and the broader recruitment team.
  • Lead national projects involving multiple stakeholders at all levels in a complex corporate structure
  • Manage large-scale budgets and leverage financial acumen to evaluate metrics and make strategic, cost-effective business decisions
  • Support and drive strategies, resources, tools, and action plans that minimize bias in recruitment and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion goals
  • Determine which levers to pull to increase candidate traffic and engagement
  • Ensure we're making the best decisions on where to invest in paid media
  • Develop recruitment marketing strategies to support the operations
  • Measure the success of our strategies and pivot to stay competitive
  • Prepare compelling strategy decks and pitches for executive business leaders
  • Promote Intact as a best employer and destination for top talent and experts
  • You will play an integral role in executing Intact's Talent Acquisition strategy.
What you bring to the table:
  • 5-10 years of combined experience in Talent Acquisition and strategic operations, project management, recruitment marketing, and employer brand
  • Strong experience with Workday systems (either implementing or using the system) is preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience as a people manager
  • Exceptional story telling and presentation skills by leveraging data and metrics to articulate market trends and inform strategy
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills to create effective presentations and business cases
  • Advanced Excel skills - you are at ease with data analysis, metrics, and manipulation to produce reports, drive decisions, track ROI, and tell a story
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale budgets in a corporate environment
  • You have superior verbal and written communication skills to convey complex concepts or ideas clearly and effectively; and you are great at building strong relationships
  • You are a creative and critical thinker, problem-solver, and innovator
  • You are organized, methodical, and have keen foresight to anticipate needs and outcomes
  • You are passionate about paid media; programmatic advertising; candidate job publishing; campaign management, metrics; agencies and vendors; Google analytics; Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn products and optimization
  • You use a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens on everything that you do
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
