Supply Chain Director \xe2\x80\x93 Canada West

Purpose:

The Director, Supply Chain Management leads the planning, development, and implementation of risk-managed cost-effective flow of goods and services to support the business needs. The position also oversees the development and maintenance of good relationships with suppliers to ensure sustenance of value for Worley. The Director will provide functional and technical leadership, governance, and support of Supply Chain for the Canada West region with a focus on continuous improvement, consistency, and excellence in project performance, and for continued company growth and success.

Responsibilities:

Key accountabilities for the role include:

  • Lead, develop, and maintain supply chain functional and execution methodologies/framework including training across the Canada West region.
  • Strategic and operational management of the SCM function in Canada West.
  • Provide governance and execution support for projects and act as escalation point for high-risk or high-complexity issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Sales and Project Delivery teams to understand requirements and develop differentiated and integrated Supply Chain strategies and execution solutions for clients
  • Provide leadership, resource planning, active recruitment, coaching and mentoring to the Supply Chain team
  • Establish and monitor a strong internal customer focus to ensure sourcing and procurement outcomes are aligned with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s objectives and delivered through effective customer-focused standards and behaviors.
  • Establish and grow relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Indigenous (First Nations, M\xc3\xa9tis or Inuit) and Indigenous\xe2\x80\x99 businesses to support Worley\xe2\x80\x99s social license to act as a service provider
  • Collaborate with Legal and Project Delivery to negotiate and administer subcontracts, purchase orders and other commitments entered by Worley, including dealing with claims and commercial disputes
  • Deliver cost effective and risk-managed commercial outcomes with the approved budget, and proactively identify opportunities to improve cost and execution performance of Worley subcontractors and suppliers
  • Collaborate and engage in strategy, pursuits, proposals, and project execution for major projects.
  • Ensure Supply Chain functional support, oversight, and execution assistance to major projects.
  • Enhance project performance via best practices and supply chain innovations and continuous improvements.
  • Provide continuous improvement to supply chain methodologies/frameworks with a focus on innovation, digital and performance.
  • Ensure Worley governance rules and requirements are followed by Worley Supply Chain personnel and subs / suppliers
  • Participate as a member of Worley\xe2\x80\x99s senior leadership team within Canada, including attending leadership meetings and functions
  • Support and endorse Worley values within and outside the organization, with an emphasis on safety and ethical conduct
Qualifications

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:
  • Extensive project delivery/project governance experience including major projects.
  • Experience of successfully engaging with client executives, senior management, and other key stakeholders.
  • Professional designation in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent
  • Experience in all commercial contracting models/risk profiles and all project scopes/phases (FEL/EPC/EPCM & Lump Sum/Fixed Price/Target Price/Reimbursable, etc).
  • Positive motivational leadership style and creative thinking skills with a focus on innovation, team development and enhancing digital delivery.
  • Working knowledge of contract law and management information systems.
  • Negotiation leadership skills to achieve sustainable and cost-effective commercial outcomes in complex business environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to develop high performance culture.
Education \xe2\x80\x93 Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required: University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. 20+ years relevant experience, including project management experience, and recognized as a functional expert and thought leader, providing consultation to others.
