Accountabilities of the role include leading the quarterly consolidated financial reporting effort for SLF Canada. This role supports senior management decision making and is responsible for all aspects of consolidated internal and external financial reporting and analysis, earnings and forecasting, controls over and coordination of the ledger close process for Canada. This role will also work closely with the Business Units and in close partnership with the Canadian Actuarial and ALM functions.What youll be doingThe individual in this role is a key contact for all consolidated financial reporting and must have the ability to collaborate effectively across SLF Canada and with the SLF Corporate Office. The incumbent will serve as a key point of contact for the external auditors and be instrumental in managing this relationship. A proven team leader and practical problem solver with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions with a focus on process enhancements. The incumbent will be a key contributor towards building successful relationships across all SLF Canada functional areas.
