Missions and Responsibilities

The primary function of the Sales Manager is to identify and develop new sales opportunities with small and medium-sized customers, to develop marketing strategies sales, to set up a good management of the territory and to develop programs of loyalty/incentives through a network of distributors and depots in the region of the west of the province of Quebec.

This person is also responsible for coaching and developing a team of 2 network account managers, organize training programs, coordinate marketing objectives through the sales force, prospecting new customers and participate in and contribute to the annual business plan of distributors and depots to ensure growth in sales and profitability.

In his role, the sales manager liaises between the sales department and the teams in the field, i.e. between the strategic and operational spheres.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop new network sales opportunities: Identify new sales points sales, new partnership opportunities, new distribution concepts. Evaluate and chooses new depot locations. Ensures cost optimization and profitability of points of sale.
  • Develop and implement loyalty/incentive programs: by collaboration with the marketing and management team at the head office, the implementation of these programs will have to allow the loyalty of our partners, and to allow a growth sales of gases and private label welding products (BLUESHIELD).
  • Supervise a team of network account managers: Manage the performance and the development, assists the account manager when visiting distributors and depots.
  • Know your points of sale and the competition and develop marketing strategies marketing, territory supervision, sales, price and product management deployed: knowing your sector, identifying growth lever segments, identifying competitive strategies. Develops and implements innovative development strategies and initiatives to increase market share as well as action plans concerning the management of territories, products and prices.
  • Manage internal and external relations: Advises depots, distributors and customers on their needs. Offers technical and commercial support. Improves the quality of the relationship business while maintaining a long-term perspective. Anticipate future needs.
  • Sell and Negotiate: Visit outlets to promote ALC products. develops and maintains partnerships with network points of sale.
  • Develop business proposals: Write the proposals clearly and professional. Presents proposals, persuades, influences and negotiates.
Competencies and Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in administration, marketing
  • Sales techniques, safety, quality
  • Computer knowledge, Google App, MS Office, Oracle, Salesforce
  • Excellent written and oral communication in French and English
  • Great sense of listening and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of at least 3 years in sales, industrial sector.
  • Agreeing to disclose your COVID-19 vaccination status, as a condition of employment.
