JEA is continuing to grow, and the Director of Sales and Marketing will play a key role in helping us provide best-in-class, high-value solutions to more clients across North America. Position Summary JEA is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing. In this position, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sales and marketing processes at JEA, which include sourcing, nurturing, and closing sales opportunities from new and potential clients. You will help lead our efforts to advance JEA's client-focused, user-centric value proposition in the marketplace through targeted marketing campaigns and direct communication. The successful candidate will report to JEA?s VP, Product Management & Business Development and will work closely with JEA?s business and technical teams. A key focus of this position will be leading the development and presentation of JEA's responses to major Request-for-Proposal (RFP) and other procurement related requests. As such, strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. The successful candidate must excel at identifying the client's pensions and related business requirements and identifying and communicating how JEA's systems solutions will effectively address those needs. As such, a background in the pensions and/or benefits administration space is preferred, together with a strong background in selling technology-based solutions. This position is remote and can be located anywhere within North America. Key Responsibilities

  • Achievement of sales targets as identified in JEA's Operating Plan.
  • Primary external liaison with potential clients, partners, industry consultants and industry associations
  • Build and maintain client relationships through the pre-sales and solution implementation phases
  • Develop a solid understanding of JEA?s products, services, practices and in turn, develop the production of descriptive material to support the sales process
  • With assistance of the VP Product Management & Business Development, develop a detailed marketing and sales plan (including product pricing, sales projections, social media profiles and updates, tracking sales funnel, etc.) to meet corporate targets
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) obtaining input and coordinating a team of internal resources for JEA?s response and be responsible for positioning, messaging and consistency throughout the responses. This will include developing and managing a library of standard responses.
  • Establish and maintain a sales funnel for new solution implementations.
  • Propose and write content for JEA?s social media platforms including website, LinkedIn profile and other social media platforms deemed appropriate
  • Work with our senior team to support contract negotiations
  • Provide input to Product Management Team regarding new products, product enhancements, services, new features that the marketplace is demanding
  • Support JEA?s public relations activities, ensuring JEA receives appropriate exposure in industry venues including, where appropriate, participating in conferences and tradeshows, writing for industry publications, and participating in related speaking engagements
  • Work with the V.P., Product Management & Business Development to establish and maintain market intelligence reporting with corresponding analysis
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven track record of successful sales management, marketing campaigns and sales strategies
  • A minimum of seven years of combined experience in sales of pensions or benefits administration system solutions (preferred), and/or sales of multi-year software solution implementation projects
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients
  • Ability to think strategically and to understand client business and technology needs
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and negotiation skills

  • Strong understanding of the pension and/or benefits industry and market trends in Canada and the US (Preferred)
