We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales & Catering. This role is pivotal in driving business growth through exceptional customer service, innovative marketing strategies, and effective sales techniques.
Director of Sales & Catering involves driving catering revenue by acquiring new clients, managing existing accounts, creating proposals, and collaborating with culinary and event teams to plan customized events. Key responsibilities include sales-focused activities like market analysis and contract negotiation, customer service through client interaction and issue resolution, event coordination from menu selection to logistical planning, and administrative tasks such as record-keeping and sales forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
:
Generate new catering business through marketing, networking, and referrals.
Manage and grow existing client accounts.
Analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities.
Client Management & Event Planning
:
Respond to inquiries, provide information, and assist with menu selection.
Create customized event proposals and contracts.
Coordinate all aspects of catering events, from food and beverage to equipment, staff, and rentals.
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues.
Collaboration & Operations
:
Work closely with culinary teams to develop menus and ensure high-quality food and service.
Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
Administration & Reporting
:
Maintain accurate client records and sales data using hotel software
Required Skills

: Ability to build rapport, negotiate, and close sales.

: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.

: Expertise in logistics, menu planning, and event coordination.

Smart Serve Certified
Must be available to work some evenings, weekends & holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
