The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing full cycle accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with financial regulations. This role is pivotal in shaping the financial strategy of our company and requires a strategic thinker with a meticulous approach to financial management. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including , but not limited to: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, and payroll.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide leadership and support to the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in full cycle accounting.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is required.
• Proven experience in managing an accounting team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in creating reports in Power BI an asset.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of a criminal and financial background check is mandatory for this position.
• Only Manitoba residents will be considered.
