Job Description

Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance must have strong leadership, reporting, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. What you get to do every single day

- Develop five-year business plans with department managers

- Oversee insurance and risk management

- Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

- Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff

- Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions

- Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance

- Supervise all financial reporting preparation

- Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations

- Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions

- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts

- Compare monthly operating results against budget

- Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

- Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models

- Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives

- 10+ years of accounting and finance experience

- Experience working in a tech company at a supervisory or leadership level

- Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems, system conversion experience ideal

- Extremely detailed and analytical

- Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel

- Bachelor\'s degree in finance or accounting

- Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

- MBA or CPA is preferred
