We are on the search for a director of finance to join our client's team! This successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting and financial principles and be ready to grow within an up-and-coming environmental tech start-up!
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE
- Prepare and manage cash flow forecasting
- Participate in present and future capital funding rounds, grants, project funding, and asset-based financing scenarios
- Develop a system for filing and tracking SRED credits.
- Oversee operational accounting areas of A/R and collections as well as procurement and A/P
- 8 years' relevant company/industry experience with a consulting organization in the environmental sector, technology, or manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with professional accounting designation (combinations of experience and education will be considered)
- Experience with Zoho considered an asset
- Ability to build strategic relationships and work effectively up, down and across all levels of the organization in a positive manner
- Ability to work as apart of a collaborative team and independently when needed
