On their behalf, we are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join their team! This term role offers a unique opportunity to make an impact on their financial landscape. As the Director of Finance, you\'ll be at the forefront of their financial operations. You\'ll lead a talented and cohesive team and continue to shape the financial strategy that drives their ongoing success.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a key financial advisor and will collaborate with various stakeholders. As the Director of Finance, you are a leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and effective communication skills who values continuous improvement and teamwork. Your ability to see the big picture while overseeing the day to day and aligning financial strategies with business goals sets you apart. Your resourceful and solutions driven approach is key to success in this crucial role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance team while overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Oversee the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, aligning them with their long-term objectives.
• Provide strategic financial guidance as an active participant on the leadership team.
• Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assess and enhance financial processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, offering financial insights and support in various business initiatives.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 5-10+ years professional financial experience. Experience in the seafood and/or production/manufacturing industries are an asset.
• Strong knowledge of finance principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
• Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork.
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent organization skills and appreciation for attention to detail.
• Ability to work and communicate clearly and effectively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• A positive and can-do attitude.
• Interest in sustainable practices within the seafood industry.
