Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join their dynamic team. This critical role is focused on maintaining high-level financial standards, optimizing financial operations, and delivering strategic insights to support informed decision-making that drives business growth.Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Lead all financial operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring processes consistently align with strategic growth goals.
  • Costing System Management: Design and oversee an efficient costing system that enhances transparency and supports data-driven decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure precise preparation, consolidation, and reporting of financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Tax Compliance: Supervise tax-related activities and ensure adherence to all compliance regulations.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective accounting systems and internal controls aligned with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Contractual Reviews: Perform detailed financial assessments of contractual obligations to safeguard company interests.
  • Executive Summaries: Generate and present high-level summaries based on data analysis for operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
  • Management Reporting: Provide internal financial reports to senior leadership on a regular basis.
  • Audit Preparation: Oversee the compilation of supporting information for annual audits and internal SOX compliance requirements.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate the impact of strategic business decisions.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct analytical reviews of Balance Sheet and P& L accounts to guide variance analysis efforts.
  • Performance Benchmarks: Establish measurable benchmarks to assess financial and operational performance effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Initiatives: Lead cross-departmental projects to streamline processes, drive efficiency, and promote growth.
Qualifications for Director of Finance RoleTo ensure success in this critical position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
  • Extensive Financial Leadership Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a finance leadership role, with a proven ability to drive results and manage large-scale operations.
  • Annual Budget Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in preparing and managing annual budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Auditing Background: Significant experience in auditing, showcasing a track record of maintaining compliance and improving financial accuracy.
  • Budget Processes Mastery: Advanced understanding and expertise in managing budget processes to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Standard Costing Knowledge: Strong background in standard costing practices is required to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve transparency.
  • Manufacturing Industry Experience: Must have substantial experience working in the manufacturing sector to align financial strategies with industry-specific challenges.
  • CPA Designation: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory, highlighting advanced financial and accounting expertise.
  • IFRS Proficiency: Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy on a global scale.
  • Controllership Experience: Previous experience in controllership roles to manage financial operations and reporting effectively.
  • Financial Consolidation Skills: Proven proficiency in financial consolidation, ensuring accurate preparation of comprehensive financial statements.
