Drive corporate financial strategy to align with business objectives.
Prepare and monitor budgets, providing regular reports and forecasts.
Develop financial policies and controls to optimize efficiency and mitigate risk.
Lead financial analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial standards.
Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders.
Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members.
QualificationsBachelor\'s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited university.
Professional designation such as CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA, with active membership in good standing.
10+ years of hands-on financial management experience, including significant experience within Indigenous organizations, demonstrating a thorough understanding of Indigenous financial practices and regulations.
Proven leadership experience with at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role, overseeing and mentoring a team of finance professionals.
Comprehensive knowledge of full cycle accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
High level of integrity, ethical standards, and commitment to confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
A clear criminal record and eligibility to pass a background check.
Employment DetailsSalary: $115,000 - $135,000 per annum
