The Position
The Director of Enrolment Management & Admissions is the chief architect of Rosseau Lake College's enrolment strategy, leading a data-informed, mission-aligned recruitment and retention program that sustains capacity enrolment and advances institutional vitality. This senior leadership role integrates best practices from CAIS and CIS Ontario schools, blending strategic foresight, relationship-driven marketing, and operational excellence to attract, select, and retain students who will thrive in RLC's intimate, experiential, lakeside learning community.
The Director fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the Admissions team and across the school, serving as a visible ambassador for RLC's unique value proposition: a small, relationship-rich environment where every student is known, belongs, and grows with purpose amid unparalleled natural beauty.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Enrolment Management
Lead the development and execution of a multi-year Enrolment Management Plan
aligned with RLC's strategic priorities and Board-approved targets, incorporating predictive modelling, market analysis, and annual goal-setting.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
for inquiry-to-enrolment conversion, yield rates, net tuition revenue, geographic/diversity composition, and retention--reporting quarterly to the Leadership Team and Board.
Conduct annual market research and competitor analysis
(including peer CAIS/CIS Ontario schools) to refine RLC's positioning, pricing strategy, and value narrative.
Oversee institutional research
to inform tuition setting, financial aid policy, and program development, in collaboration with the Director of Finance and Head of School.
Recruitment, Marketing & Brand Stewardship
Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications
to design and implement an integrated, data-driven marketing strategy that leverages digital analytics, CRM tools (e.g., Veracross, Blackbaud), social media, and targeted campaigns to reach high-potential domestic and international audiences.
Represent RLC at high-impact recruitment events
domestically (e.g., OurKids Media fairs, CIS Ontario events) and internationally (e.g., EduCanada, ICEF, CAIS global tours), building strategic partnerships with educational consultants and embassy networks.
Cultivate and manage a global network of educational agents
, including contract negotiation, performance tracking, commission structures, and compliance with Canadian regulations (e.g., IRCC, guardianship).
Develop and deliver compelling campus experiences
(tours, open houses, virtual sessions, shadow days) that authentically showcase RLC's culture, programs, and landscape.
Strengthen RLC's digital presence and SEO performance
to ensure top visibility in independent school searches.
Admissions Process & Family Experience
Oversee a seamless, personalized admissions journey
from inquiry through enrolment, ensuring timely communication, transparency, and exceptional family experience.
Lead a holistic admissions review process
that assesses academic readiness, character alignment, and potential contribution to the RLC community, using rubrics and committee-based decision-making.
Determine scholarship and financial aid awards
in partnership with the Head of School and Director of Finance, ensuring equitable distribution and alignment with enrolment goals.
Serve as primary liaison with Apple Financial
and guardianship agencies (e.g., ISGC) to support international families.
Coordinate with Health Services, Boarding, and Academic teams
to secure all required documentation and ensure smooth onboarding.
Retention & Student Success
Champion a retention-focused culture
by partnering with faculty, houseparents, counselors, and leadership to identify and support at-risk students through early intervention protocols.
Design and analyze annual family and student satisfaction surveys
, using insights to enhance program delivery and community engagement.
Track re-enrolment trends
and lead initiatives to strengthen family connection, including parent ambassadors, appreciation events, and communication touchpoints.
Team Leadership & Professional Engagement
Mentor, develop, and evaluate the Admissions team
, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture grounded in RLC values.
Actively participate in professional networks
, including CAIS Admissions Leaders, CIS Ontario Enrolment Groups, EMA, TABS, and ICEF, to benchmark practices and elevate RLC's reputation.
Stay current with global education trends
, admissions technology, and regulatory changes through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Education, Business, or Marketing preferred.
Minimum 7 years of progressive admissions/enrolment experience
in independent schools, with at least 3 years in a leadership role; CAIS/CIS Ontario experience strongly preferred.
Proven success in growing enrolment and net tuition revenue
in competitive markets.
Expertise in CRM systems (Veracross, Blackbaud, or similar), data analytics, and digital marketing tools.
Deep knowledge of global education systems
, transcript evaluation, and visa/guardianship requirements for international students.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
, with fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Korean, Japanese) an asset.
Strong financial acumen
, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial aid modelling.
Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging
, with experience advancing access in independent schools.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically and internationally (30-40% annually).
Relationships & Workplace Requirements and Conditions:
Working on site, 5 days per week, is preferred.
Full-time, year-round position with peak intensity during recruitment season (September-April).
Regular evening/weekend work for events, tours, and travel.
