We are seeking a Director of National Field Sales to join our team in this exciting new area of business. Based out of our Markham, ON office and/or home office, and reporting into the President and Chief Commercial Officer, this role will be accountable for developing and executing the national strategy to support field sales for Xplore.

With a mandate to build, lead and develop our field sales team, you will play an integral role in driving customer acquisition. By leveraging your experience as a sales leader, you will bring valuable data driven insights to support the overall performance of the field sales organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy for our fibre, fixed wireless and broadband services, aligning with the organization\'s overall business objectives and revenue targets
  • Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing national field sales team, fostering a culture of excellence; set performance metrics and KPI\'s
  • Create a compelling leadership strategy to create excitement in the market and for a growing team
  • Provide direct coaching to Regional Managers and Team Leaders to establish a performance-based culture nationally
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and manage sales pipelines, ensuring regular reporting and analysis of key sales metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on sales performance and market trends
  • Measure performance and effectiveness of strategies. Continuously assess and refine sales processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer experience
  • Use data to create valuable insights that translate into tactics in the field
  • Work closely with vendors and channel partners; establish effective relationships
  • Influence and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders the team relies on to deliver; build alignment with other sales teams, Marketing, IT, Operations, etc. to ensure successful outcomes
  • Audit the performance of the field teams on a routine basis; ensure compliance and performance are high and effective
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 10+ years field sales leadership experience; preferably within the telecommunications industry
  • Direct experience establishing a national field sales strategy, including implementation and measurement
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • A skilled people leader and operator; can translate vision into operating plans for others
  • Proven coaching skills that translate into enthusiasm and drive from teams
  • In-depth knowledge of the broadband industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and generate actionable insights
  • History of auditing operations to drive constant process enhancements
  • Innovative problem solver, with a proven history of process development and procedural enhancements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • A willingness to travel across Canada as required
  • Bilingualism is an asset
