Responsibilities





PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Director, HR Digital Strategy is to provide strategic leadership in setting the direction into the over-arching human resources management system for the enterprise and HR analytics. The Director is responsible for supporting diverse technical business services (including application support, development, and data quality), overall project management/control for the successful implementation of HRMS web solutions and projects. This position will partner closely with other P&C teams and business leaders to ensure effective consulting and analytical support in alignment with the P&C Strategy.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides leadership on projects requiring integration of complement/HR data, systems, and processes. Develops functional specifications, solutions, and communication/change management plans to ensure successful project outcomes.
Oversees the comprehensive analysis of stakeholder needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to determine requirements for systemic, procedural, and policy adjustments. Leads the evaluation of discrepancies, identifies requirements, and delivers synthesized insights to senior leadership. Ensures effective communication of changes and their implications to stakeholders.
Provides strategic leadership and guidance to the team, offering expertise in position management, data analysis, and system enhancement to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Leads in-depth evaluations of HR systems, processes, data integrity, and policies to optimize organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Consults with stakeholders to define and document overarching HR processes, policies, and system functionalities, aligning them with organizational goals. Offers expert guidance, support, and training to stakeholders, ensuring a thorough understanding of functional requirements and specifications.
Strategically plans, designs, and develops comprehensive end-user documentation, training materials, and reference guides. Establishes and maintains a centralized repository of up-to-date documentation to facilitate seamless knowledge transfer and process continuity.
Leads the exploration of alternative solutions, conducting feasibility studies to recommend optimal strategies aligned with strategic objectives. Provides insightful recommendations for system enhancements, policy adjustments, and process optimizations to drive organizational success.
Collaborates cross-functionally within the People and Culture department and with relevant departments to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Represents the organization in meetings and workshops with external partners, serving as a liaison between HR Analytics, IT, Payroll, and other relevant departments. Facilitates effective communication and collaboration to achieve shared objectives.
Conducts in-depth research for special projects, defining project scopes, resource requirements, and timelines. Prepares and presents comprehensive recommendations and reports to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.
Leads the development and execution of project work plans, adapting them as needed to accommodate evolving priorities and responsibilities. Ensures timely and successful completion of projects in alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborates with stakeholders to establish mutually beneficial goals and objectives, fostering a culture of partnership and shared success.
Ensures the generation of comprehensive documentation, including business requirements and change request documents, while maintaining existing documentation and information guides. Collaborates with HRMS and BTS to curate a centralized repository of all relevant documentation.
Stays abreast of HR and operational best practices, identifying opportunities to promote and implement best practices related to complement management principles and systems.
Manages day-to-day operational initiatives, including complement data cleanup, report analysis, and system maintenance activities. Provides concise summaries and updates to senior management on operational performance and initiatives.
Proactively leads the tracking of all functional system and process change requests, conducting thorough impact analyses and preparing comprehensive reports for senior leadership review.
Assumes any additional duties, functions, or assignments inherent to the directorial role, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in meeting organizational needs.

Qualifications





EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline, plus eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience with a focus on system optimization, project management, and stakeholder engagement in a complex organizational setting.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Advanced understanding of HR principles, theories, and best practices, with expertise in HR system optimization and process improvement.
Experience in leading and mentoring teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment conducive to professional growth and development.
Proven track record of successful project leadership, including experience managing complex HR initiatives from conception to implementation.
Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement and implement innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Proficiency in developing and delivering training programs, workshops, and presentations to enhance organizational understanding and adoption of HR systems and processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive data analysis and derive actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a demonstrated history of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. Work Schedule





37.5 hours per week.

Work Designation





Hybrid
This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.

Rate of Pay





Salary $147,494 - $184,367 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
