As ATB\xe2\x80\x99s next Director of Entrepreneurial Growth, you are passionate about Alberta\xe2\x80\x99s entrepreneur and small business landscape, and appreciate the pivotal role that community activity, partner relations, and business expertise play in growing our support for this audience, to be known as the bank for Alberta businesses. You will lead a highly effective team of Entrepreneur Strategists and Community/Events Managers, and further enable our branch locations to build ATB\xe2\x80\x99s edge among entrepreneurs across Alberta. You are active in the entrepreneur ecosystem and bring an extensive network, as well as a desire for collaboration and partnerships. Having previous business ownership experience, you are a catalyst for our business clients, able to provide guidance that helps them navigate challenges and changes through all stages of business. This important work contributes directly to ATB\xe2\x80\x99s annual acquisition and revenue goals.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Develop overall engagement strategy, and subsequent operational plans for how ATB shows up in the community; build presence through events, sponsorships, client hosting, speaker opportunities, etc.
  • Lead various initiatives that drive both business results and adoption of the Strategist value proposition; drive integration into ATB\xe2\x80\x99s service model and daily operations
  • Develop and oversee the partnership ecosystem for the Entrepreneurial Growth Team, building ATB\xe2\x80\x99s presence and growing market share (provincial, regional, rural, urban)
  • Establish valuable relationships and identify opportunities with potential partner organizations, and manage key partner relations
  • Be a strong voice for entrepreneur and small business clients; act as a subject matter expert both internally and externally
  • Meet with ATB business clients to discuss their business growth strategies and needs; act as a thinking partner, and offer guidance on growth and financial health
  • Identity opportunities for business lending and other ATB products; connect clients to tools, resources, communities, other experts and institutions
  • Collaborate with the Director, Branch for Arts and Culture on it\xe2\x80\x99s business growth strategy and support through community initiatives and programs
  • Work closely with the regional market and branch leaders, to further enable them on engaging within the community, driving growth and success
  • Work with data analyst to establish a performance measurement system and reporting model; actively report and monitor performance to uncover further opportunities
  • Lead and guide team members; set team and individual direction, provide regular coaching and feedback, performance and development planning, mentorship
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Team leadership within a fast pace, continuously evolving environment
  • Previous business ownership experience an asset; and/or guiding business growth strategies
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business or related discipline, or a combination of training and work experience an asset
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for client experience
  • Proven ability to meet objectives; manage multiple streams of work and projects
  • Natural at building relationships, networking and negotiating
  • Critical thinker, who can quickly resolve challenges and build solutions
  • Strong business acumen and data driver approach to inform decisions / strategies
  • Cash management knowledge, financial management experience
  • Personable, influential, and a collaborator
  • Excellent communication and listening abilities
