The Opportunity
This position is responsible for leading the strategy and overseeing the execution of player acquisition & retention marketing for all Hyper Hippo products. They will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing a highly personalized lifecycle marketing strategy to both acquire new players and engage all segments of existing players in an effort to maximize the tenure of our audience and reduce churn. This leader will actively manage, coach and develop the skills of marketing managers and individual contributors across multiple disciplines, pushing them to be innovative and embrace new approaches to customer acquisition & retention in the digital marketplace. Hyper Hippo Entertainment is a data driven company and this role requires extensive analytical skills to track and analyze all efforts to ensure optimal results.
The successful candidate will be a free thinker, decisive, fast moving, highly collaborative and always in pursuit of new and innovative ways to acquire and engage audiences for our games and reduce dependency on traditional performance marketing to scale our audiences.
Provide leadership, division of responsibilities and coaching to current and future team members
Setting strategic, aggressive and measurable goals for the team
Be a trusted advisor to the executive group, a relied-upon source of ideation & forward thinking, and a model for collaborative work amongst the Senior Leadership Group.
Customer Acquisition (~25%)
Manage the strategies and budgets to bring audiences to new games for soft & global launch as well as ongoing live game services
Ensure media spend is delivering at or above expected return on investment thresholds
Oversee the creative strategy & execution for all advertising
Identify and close high-value marketing partnerships that fuel audience acquisition
Customer Engagement & Retention (30%)
Build out the martech capabilities for personalized player lifecycle engagement programs (CRM) featuring direct-to-consumer communications spanning multiple communication methods (in-game, push, e-mail, SMS) to increase player engagement and retention
Craft and execute customer data capture strategy in compliance with all relevant privacy regulation that ensures high opt-in rates and maximizes the amount of information players share with us to enable personalized marketing journeys and increase the value of our audience to advertisers
Develop the strategy for and oversee the execution of complex CRM campaigns including message/content strategy, target audience segmentation, measurement plans, and iterative testing roadmaps, collaborating with our game product & dev teams
Set the direction for our managed social channels and online communities to maximize virality, incentivize return to game play and gather player sentiment/feedback
Strategy & Innovation (15%)
Ensure our marketing technology capabilities are consistently on par with industry best practices
Manage the overall vision, strategy and operations of Hyper Hippo Entertainment\xe2\x80\x99s marketing department
Identify new and innovative ways to market our games & grow our audience profitably
Use data to understand & communicate the effectiveness of all marketing activities and ways to systematically improve performance
Your Track Record Includes
7+ Years experience in Mobile Marketing
7+ Years in Performance/Growth Marketing
7+ years in CRM/lifecycle Marketing
Successful implementation of martech stack and execution of personalized, multi-channel CRM strategies
7+ years of people leadership with a team of 10+ staff
Direct to Consumer experience in E-Commerce, Media and/or Gaming Industries is considered a plus.
