The opportunity:

The Director, Application Development leads the activities of the development and support team involved in the design, development, deployment, and support of core IT software applications. Provides management oversight of project activities and selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Ensures that production and development efforts are performed according to corporate standards and best practices, in alignment with business objectives, and are delivered on-time and within budget. Works with the IT Leadership team to set the directions, priorities, and dates for delivery of work. Ability to work with various levels of the business to deliver solutions that improve the business processes and deliver value.

How you will contribute:

Managing software engineering teams to design and delivery of high-quality software for critical business features, built on modern cloud technologies and work with product owners to influence technical roadmap and prioritizing key features

Understanding of and prior management of payments, billing and financial systems and built a strategy to modernize the systems.

Enforces compliance with application development best practices and processes.

Works closely with PMO and business to prioritize application development/support projects.

Recommends new IT policies and procedures as needed and continuously Improve existing delivery and development standards

Select, develop, approve, and implement standard application development tools, system integration guidelines, and associated IT processes.

Manages vendor relationships as needed to support IT Application Systems activities.

Leads Application Roadmap development.

Defines release management/environment standards and schedules.

Work in conjunction with the Infrastructure, Architecture and Security teams to achieve Information Technology goals and objectives.

Ensure adherence to Healthcare HIPAA regulations and guidelines.

Proactively learn/acquire modern technologies that will continuously improve IT service delivery

Lead, manage and grow high performant engineering teams

Solid understand of agile and emphasis on planning, estimation, and backlog refinement.

What you will bring with you:

Required:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with major emphasis in computer science engineering and technologies or related field

Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in advanced principles and techniques of systems analysis and design and computer programming and documentation. Business applications: management of inter/intranet/web administration applications; principles and techniques of troubleshooting and performance monitoring; product service evaluations, basic accounting, and budget preparations

Minimum of 7 years of technology management experience

Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices, DevOps, Release Management and Test Management

A dynamic leader with excellent communication skills and demonstrable expertise in project execution and above all a customer and team focused.

Ability to display tact, and diplomacy when assisting customers, coworkers, consultants, and vendors.

Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple, concurrent, and conflicting priorities and deadlines.

Organize, prioritize, and track tasks, requests, and projects effectively.

Build and lead diverse, high-performance teams

Promote train, supervise, and evaluate staff

Acquire and maintain current technological and regulatory knowledge.

Author and assemble professional documentation and maintain business records.

Establish, maintain, and foster positive productive and cooperative and harmonious working relationships

Maintain business communications.

Attends additional training as requested/deemed necessary

Preferred:

Experience within healthcare industry, including a payor managed care organization or general insurance and with associated information systems.

Solid understanding with ANSI X12 defined EDI exchanges and HIPAA transactions such as: 270/271, 276/277, 275/278, 834, 835, 837

Strong experience in modern software engineering and architecture.

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:

Southern region: $148,800 - $223,300 annually

Central region: $156,900 - $235,500 annually

Northern region: $167,800 - $251,700 annually

If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $142,100 - $213,200 annually.

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $167,800 - $251,700 annually.

If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $156,900 - $235,500 annually.
