The Opportunity:

We have newly created positions for Device Management Engineers to join our team, based in our clients site in Mississauga, Canada. Whilst based at a client location, this role is part of the Canada Managed Service Delivery Center (MSDC), a newly created in-country, best in class service to our clients on their modernization journey to the Microsoft cloud and modern workplace solutions.

This role present a great opportunity to learn more about the Microsoft ecosystem, work within a global team of managed services technologists and learn from the best!

The Role:

Working incidents/service requests, Device Management Engineers will be responsible for day-to-day client interaction onsite and remotely to assist the greater shared service team. Key responsibilities include:
  • Act as a technical advisor to the client
  • Assist the CSM (Customer Success Manager)and Problem Management team in the root cause analysis process and technical corrective actions
  • Responsible for driving technical innovation, and collaborating with CSM\'s to deliver advisory service
  • Provide weekly technical data for service delivery reports
  • Be available for any on- call client critical issues
  • Assist the problem management process for all assigned clients
  • Identify and contribute to technical Continual Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives
  • Support operations for Change management and validation post implementation
  • Provide inputs to CSM on risk and issue management for the client environment

  • Capable of thriving in a structured and process orientated environment, but you enjoy change and can adapt.
  • ITIL experience is beneficial
  • Able to travel to sites within the Toronto / Mississauga / Brampton areas
  • Technically well versed in the following technologies / processes:
  • Windows Administration skills (Win 10, Server: 2008, 2008 R2, 2016, 2019)
  • MS Office Application Support
  • End Device Technical Support
  • Application Installations
  • Device Management: Device Security Patch Updates, Upgrades, Hotfix and Patch Deployment
  • Device Configuration, New Device Introduction/Hardware Certification based on client provided standards/specifications
  • Access Management: RDP, VPS
  • Hardware and Software Environment Provisioning and Support
  • Hardware Replacement Logistics (Raising tickets with the hardware vendor and boxing it up if necessary)
  • Inventory Management (App Versions and Device IDs)
  • Defect resolution (Device set-up and coordination with different resolver groups)
  • Yearly and Annual Upgrades, Security Patches, Windows Security Vulnerabilities
  • Release Patch Update
  • Win 10 Support
  • Standard Operating Environment (SOE)/Imaging, Packaging
