The Rotman Commerce program is offered jointly by the Rotman School of Management and the Faculty of Arts & Science. It is a highly respected, highly competitive program within the business, financial and academic communities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing needs and contributing to the development and implementation of plans for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition
  • Identifying, evaluating and recommending the necessary steps to bring the prospect closer to making a major financial commitment to the University
  • Conducting advanced research and analysis from a variety of sources to provide detailed background data on donors
  • Developing and implementing plans to support donor management and stewardship strategies and/or activities
  • Developing tailored fundraising opportunities that support strategic initiatives
  • Writing briefing notes, solicitation plans and call reports to track donor interaction
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in a staff fundraising role or equivalent experience with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition experience
  • Demonstrated experience drafting complex donor reports and communications
  • Demonstrated project management, liaison and relationship management experience
  • Evidence of leadership and initiative, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail, and creativity
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and relationship building skills
  • Highly developed computer skills working with MS Office; databases (including ARBOR); and content management systems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and results oriented environment
  • Proven ability to motivate others, i.e. volunteers, team members, donors
  • Strong team player who values collaboration
