About Ocean Steel

Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean Steel\'s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.

Responsibilities

• Using the bill of material, you collect the parts for our Steel Fitters and Welders
• Reading and understand blueprints
• Using overhead crane to move parts
• Assisting the Steel Fitters and Welders when needed
• Clean and maintain work space

Requirements

• Experience in steel fabrication environment
• Blueprint reading
• Completion of high school
