Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual to join our team as a Dental Office Manager. As the lead position of our dental practice, the Office Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the office on a day-to-day basis. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Management:
Oversee all administrative functions of the dental office, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, and record keeping
Maintain organized and up-to-date patient files, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
Manage office budgets and financial transactions
Manage office supplies inventory and coordinate ordering as needed
Handle billing and financial transactions, including insurance claims processing and patient billing inquiries
2. Team Management:
Supervise front desk staff, dental assistants, and other administrative personnel.
Coordinate human resource activities such as hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Provide training and support to staff members to ensure high-quality customer service and efficient workflow
Address all staff issues or concerns in a timely manner
3. Patient Relations:
Greet patients warmly and ensure their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit
Address patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner
Schedule appointments and follow up with patients to confirm upcoming visits or treatment plans
4. Office Efficiency:
Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity
Coordinate with dental providers to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize wait times
Troubleshoot any operational issues and implement solutions to improve overall office performance
5. Requirements:
A minimum of three years dental office experience
Proven experience leading a dental team
Experience with Dentrix is preferred but not essential
