CAD/CAM Dental Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

CAD/CAM Dental Technician

to join our dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in digital dental design and manufacturing workflows, using CAD/CAM technology to produce high-quality dental restorations, prosthetics, and appliances. This role requires a blend of technical ability, creativity, and precision to ensure patient-specific, functional, and esthetic results.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and manufacture dental restorations (crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, inlays/onlays, and dentures) using CAD/CAM systems. Operate and maintain CAD software, scanners, milling machines, and 3D printers. Read and interpret digital impressions, intraoral scans, and prescriptions provided by dentists. Ensure accuracy, functionality, and esthetics in all digital designs. Collaborate with dentists, specialists, and laboratory staff to meet clinical requirements. Troubleshoot design and production issues, ensuring timely resolution. Perform quality control checks on all completed restorations before delivery. Keep updated with advances in digital dentistry, materials, and techniques. Maintain proper calibration, cleaning, and upkeep of CAD/CAM equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Formal training or certification in Dental Technology Proven experience in CAD/CAM dental design and production. Proficiency with dental CAD software (e.g., exocad, 3Shape, Dental Wings). Knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, and restorative workflows. Experience with milling, 3D printing, and digital production equipment. Strong attention to detail, esthetic sense, and manual dexterity. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a digital dental lab setting. Implant design and full-arch restoration expertise. Familiarity with various materials (zirconia, e.max, PMMA, resins, hybrids).
