Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our amazing dental office. This is a permanent full time position. This hybrid position involves assisting for part of the day and doing recalls and predeterminations for the other part of the day. This is perfect for a person who is great on the phone and wants to still maintain that patient contact. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the office. This position requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about dentistry and enjoys working with patients of all ages.

Our hours are 9-5 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, Thursdays 11-7, and Fridays 9-3 with one Saturday a month (except for the summer time-no Saturdays).

Duties

- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

-Calling patients to schedule their recall exams.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; at least one year.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix for record keeping and scheduling.
- Ability to perform receptionist duties when necessary, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries.
