Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counsellors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counsellor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for guiding campers through various activities, fostering their personal growth, and ensuring their overall well-being throughout their time at camp.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Plan and lead educational and recreational activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and skill development. Provide guidance and support to campers, helping them navigate social interactions and personal challenges. Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging respect, inclusivity, and cooperation among campers. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a clean and organized camp environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with fellow counselors to develop program schedules and ensure smooth operation of camp activities.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and inspire young campers. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities. Passion for outdoor activities, arts and crafts, sports, or other recreational pursuits that can be shared with campers. Must be adaptable, patient, and able to handle challenging situations with composure.
