Summer Camp Counsellor
Camp KidsTown
is hiring enthusiastic and dedicated counsellors to join ourspecialty camp team
this summer!Core Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times Lead and support daily camp activities according to program plans Maintain open and positive communication with campers, staff, and parents Learn, practice, and follow all safety and rescue procedures Respond appropriately to emergencies, including administering first aid when required Confirm that all required materials and supplies are available on site Adhere to all Camp KidsTown policies and procedures Keep all indoor and outdoor program areas clean, organized, and safe Participate in daily setup and cleanup duties Work responsibly to prevent injury or harm to self and others Perform additional duties as assigned by camp leadership
Qualifications:
Must be
16 years of age or older
Previous experience working with children in a supervised group settingStandard First Aid & CPR Certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Calm, reliable, and professional under pressure and in emergency situations Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage routine administrative tasks A commitment to providing exceptional camper experiences and customer serviceJob Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 8 weeks
Pay: $17.60 per hour
Work Location: In person
