We are seeking dedicated and experienced One-to-One Camp Counsellors to join our team for the summer. The ideal candidate must have a background and interest in working with kids with special needs. Experience in a camp environment an asset
Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one support and supervision to children with special needs throughout camp activities. Attending to physical needs of child throughout the camp day Foster a supportive and positive relationship with the child
Requirements
Minimum one year of experience working with children with special needs
Secondary education with coursework or certification in special needs, childcare, or a related discipline is an asset. Confidence and proficiency in working with children with high needs Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with camp staff and parents Ability to be physically active and participate in camp activities Patience, empathy and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with high/complex needsAssets
Previous experience working in a camp setting
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks
Pay: $1,800.00-$2,700.00 per month
