In 1900 The East End Boys Club was founded in Saint John, and would later become the first Boys and Girls Club, and today BGC of Greater Saint John. In a single year The BGC of Greater Saint John has over 2,200 youth attending programs, has served over 14,120 lunches, given away over $22,000 in scholarships, and wrapped over 800 Christmas gifts! We adore our staff and are forever thankful that we can all make a safe place for kids to grow and play together.Location: South End Community Center

Activity Leaders at the South End Community Centre will plan and lead programs for elementary school aged children during the summer break. These programs will be a combination of both National BGC and local programs. Activity Leaders will have the autonomy to design their own programs and create an amazing space for youth. Requirements:
- Applicants will be hired under the Canada Summer Jobs Initiative and as such the criteria for this must be met. More information can be found here: https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/youth#sectionCSJ
- Basic knowledge of developmental needs of youth;
- Clear Criminal Record and Social Development Check (conducted during interview process);
- First Aid & CPR (must be provided before first day of work)
- Flexible schedule
- On-site parking
- Training & Hands on experience working with youth
