VRE Systems is a manufacturing company serving the retail garden centre, horticultural, greenhouse and agricultural industries. We design and manufacture a variety of products including curtain systems, roll-up walls, monorail systems, fabrics, transportation carts, as well as food and pharmaceutical products.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CWB Certified Welder to join our production team. The role involves reading and interpreting blueprints and welding materials using high-heat equipment and established welding processes. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

A CWB certification required Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications Ability to set up and install welding components/equipment according to specifications Skilled in aligning metal components using braces and clamps Capable of cleaning materials to remove rust, grease, scale, or contaminants prior to welding Experience repairing structures or components using cutting torches and hand tools Ability to operate manual, semi-automatic, and automated welding equipment Ability to operate brakes, shears, and other metal-shaping, straightening, or bending machines Capable of maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment Able to monitor equipment operation to ensure proper temperature and conditions Competent in examining welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications Strong communication skills, including reporting equipment or inventory issues to the Production Supervisor Must work in compliance with all Health & Safety, Workplace, and WHMIS regulations Duties may be adjusted periodically to support efficient company operations

Over 5 years experience Previous experience in MIG welding. 3-5 years Industrial manufacturing work environment Team-oriented culture emphasizing inclusiveness and acceptance Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Public transportation is not available; reliable transportation is required Monday-Friday 7am-4pm; occasional overtime offered but not required

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
